Vickie Claiborne To Consult With Martin's Acade·media Program

Industry training specialist Vickie Claiborne will be working with the Martin US team as an instructor for Martin's worldwide training program, Acade·media.

Claiborne is a consultant working with Martin's Michael Nevitt (product manager for controllers), Matthias Hinrichs (control products specialist), and Carl Wake (national education manager) to develop training programs within the Acade·media program for the Maxxyz lighting console, Maxedia Digital Media Composer, and the lighting and set design software package, Martin ShowDesigner (MSD). Initially she will be helping to develop a training curriculum and then instructing in Maxxyz, Maxedia and MSD.

"I am excited to align myself with a company that is dedicated to raising the levels of education and training within the lighting industry," Claiborne says. Prior to her new role with Martin, Claiborne managed the console training program for High End Systems for 10 years, overseeing the development and instruction of curriculum for all HES' consoles.

Claiborne assumed her new role at the start of the year and is working from Martin's regional offices as well as in the field. She will continue her independent lighting endeavors while teaching Acade·media courses.

"Vickie brings with her the benefit of outside experience from the lighting design and application perspective," says Eric Loader, Martin US vice president of sales and marketing. "She will not just be teaching use and operation of the product, but also how to configure and layout for different applications."
