May 30, 2003 12:00 PM

Attendees at the inaugural BSMC (Broadway Sound Master Classes) will have the opportunity to tour the acclaimed Masque Sound Studios on Friday, June 27, as a lead-in to the two days of classes on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29. Attendees are also invited to the 2003 EDDY Awards on Friday evening as part of the weekend's activities at John Jay College Theare in Manhattan.

The tour of the famous Masque Sound Studios will feature the dean of sound effects, John Kilgore, speaking on the creation, maintenance, and long-term storage of effects for the theatre. Masque also supplies sound equipment to Broadway shows and tours. Their current roster includes: Aida, Aida national tour, Blue Man Group Boston, Cabaret tour, Fosse tour, Grease tour, Jesus Christ Superstar tour, Les Misérables (which just recently closed), Les Misérables national tour, Life (x) 3, Mamma Mia!, Mamma Mia! national tour, Mamma Mia!
